The month of June brought great news and new opportunities. The Broward Art Guild accepted one of my pieces for its June Exhibit: Human Image. The piece I submitted called: Unmasked checked all the boxes required for the exhibit and I was eternally grateful to be accepted.
The piece was inspired by my love of the human body. I wanted to not just portray a face, but the purest asset of humans: Their eyes.
To me, eyes are the window of the soul. That is where our vulnerability shows and where our happiness and sadness show easily. I wanted to show that beauty goes beyond the physical and that we can show our love without a smile.
If you happen to live in Fort Lauderdale, be sure to stop by the Broward Art Guild’s Gallery. It will be on exhibit from June 2nd to June 25.

From the Guild About the Exhibit:
A celebration of the human form in all its glory. From parts to poses, nuances to nudes… this exhibit has it covered (and uncovered). Artists deliver their interpretations in a variety of media and artistic styles, bringing together a collection of various perspectives on the human form. Paintings, drawings, photography, sculptures, mixed media, and jewelry will be on display.
